ICT Week 2025, Tashkent

We participated in ICT Week Uzbekistan in Tashkent, where we were honoured guests of IT Park Uzbekistan. During the week, we spoke at a Startup Garage workshop, moderated a session at the Startup & Venture Summit, and presented an award at the Global Startup Awards to one of Uzbekistan’s rising startups.

Together with Hale Yildiz and Mustafa Nafi Kaya, we held a productive discussion with Rustam Karimjonov, Deputy Minister at the Ministry for the Development of ICT of the Republic of Uzbekistan, underscoring the country’s strong commitment to building a world-class digital economy. We also extended special congratulations to Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park, for his leadership in positioning Uzbekistan as a global tech hub.

Uzbekistan is now the second fastest-growing tech ecosystem in the world, having expanded 13x over the past five years and already producing two unicorns. The momentum is clear, driven by energetic founders, investors, and ecosystem builders. We connected with many of them throughout the week, including Azamat Karamatov, Azamat Rakhmon-Zoda, Anastasia Filippova, Irodakhon Azimova, Zaynab Atabaeva, Gulasal Sh. Lutfullaeva, Ruzalya Mukhamadova, Jamelia Khali, Fayzulla Ulmasov, Bekhzod Abdullaev, Akbar Gulyamov, Jahongir Normatov, Konstantin Olegovich, Fariza Islomova, and others shaping the future of tech in the country.

We are grateful to the IT Park Uzbekistan and IT Park Ventures teams for their outstanding hospitality and support, which made the visit truly memorable. The week reinforced the exciting trajectory of Uzbekistan’s tech ecosystem and the growing potential for cross-border collaboration and investment between Uzbekistan, Türkiye, and beyond.
