The direction reversed: a UK Pavilion at Take Off Istanbul, bringing British companies into the Turkish market rather than the other way round.

At Take Off Istanbul 2024, organised by Türkiye Teknoloji Takımı Vakfı and attended by more than 15,000 participants from around the world, Academia Park London led the UK pavilion and delegation in partnership with Russ Shaw CBE of Tech London Advocates & Global Tech Advocates and investors including Molten Ventures, Sure Valley Ventures, Nord Sloane Ventures, Blue Lake VC, Hotbed, Outfly and Reset Connect.

The programme featured a keynote by Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır, a VIP dinner hosted by Deputy Minister Zekeriya Çoştu and the President’s Investment Office, a visit from British Consul-General Kenan Poleo, showcases by UK startups Valkiv AI, Saarey, Autoenhance.ai, Vortex IQ and CatchJobs, and a main-stage panel on global expansion, further strengthening UK–Türkiye tech collaboration ahead of the formal launch of Tech Türkiye Advocates in early 2025 with support from Hizmet İhracatçıları Birliği.
